Happy Sunday!! Ahh I can’t believe this upcoming week is my last one at my internship! Time certainly flies by! And then I’m off for a week of traveling! Chicago –> Kansas City –> Colorado Springs –> Boston –> Chicago! Craziness!
Since I’m so busy cleaning, running errands, and watching the Olympics with Molly, here’s a fun survey that I decided to fill out!

“THIS OR THAT” FITNESS SURVEY
1. Run/workout in the heat and humidity or freezing cold temps and snow?
Freezing cold temps all the way! I’ve done a 13 mile run in below-freezing temps and several runs this summer in waaaay too hot temps and I’d go with cold any day! The heat just wears you down!
2. Washboard abs or flat abs?
Flat. Washboard abs take way more dedication than I’m willing to put in!
3. Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
I don’t watch either show, but I’ve heard there’s a lot of arguing on the Doctors so I would go with Dr. Oz.
4. Cardio or strength?
This is really hard. I can’t imagine never running again, but strength training is sooooo much more important for your health! I prefer cardio but if I had to choose one to do for the rest of my life, I’d go with strength… ahhh that was so hard.
5. Cravings: Protein or carbs?
I probably crave protein way more than I crave carbs. I’m always thinking of eating some eggs or other kind of meat. Is it weird that I’m craving jerky right now? A little? Probably. Still craving it though.
6. Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
Ahhh! Another tough one! I love both of them! I think if I had to choose, I’d want Jillian to be my trainer, but to hang out with Bob as a friend.
7. Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Is this seriously a question? FROYO ALL THE WAY. If you’ve read this blog for more than 1 day you’d probably already know my answer to that one!
8. To train: Upper body or Lower body?
Definitely upper! My legs get enough work with running, my upper body gets left out!
9. Protein powder or food with protein?
As much as I like my Sunwarrior Protein, most definitely food with protein. So many good foods have protein: Greek yogurt, beans, lentils, fish, meat, eggs, the list goes on and on! Froyo even have some protein! Haha
10. Lunges or squats?
Squats! Lunges always seem to result in me pulling some sort of muscle… I’m so coordinated.
11. Sweet or salty?
This is kind of hard! I guess most of the time I’ll choose sweet over salty, but if I haven’t had something salty in a while I start craving it! (Remember the current jerky craving? Also dying for some french fries…)
12. Workout attire: cute or comfy?
COMFY. I always look like a mess at the gym, I don’t even try. Haha I actually get annoyed with girls who look like they put a lot of effort into it, especially since I’m usually there at 5:30am.
13. Body Pump or Heavy lifting?
I have no idea! I’ve never done body pump, but I have a feeling I would like it more than heavy lifting! I always love the strength part of Jazzercise class!
14. Yoga or Pilates?
I’ve actually never done pilates, but I think I would like it more than yoga! I tend to get bored at yoga, but I think pilates would definitely keep me interested!
15. Nike or Adidas?
Is this seriously a question? I haven’t owned anything from Adidas since those striped tennis shoes everyone wore in like 5th grade. Haha I LIVE in my Norts (Nike Shorts). Love, love, love Nike! See? 2 photos just in this post with me in NIKE shorts!! And doing the same pose… Clearly I’m no model.
16. Running on the treadmill or outdoors?
Hmmmm. If I had to pick one forever I’d definitely pick outdoors because it’s so relaxing, but I’m actually one of those crazy people who loves running on the treadmill!
17. Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
I’d have to go with Trader Joe’s, mostly because I can actually afford to buy my groceries there. If money wasn’t an issue then I would definitely go with Whole Foods. But I do love my TJs.
18. Summer or Winter Olympics?
Definitely summer! As I mentioned before, diving and gymnastics are my favorites!
19. Exercise classes or Exercise videos?
CLASSES! I get so motivated and competitive when I have people around me. I really need to go to a class soon, I can’t remember the last time I went to a class at my gym.
20. Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Roasted! I almost always steam them, but I prefer roasted. It just takes so long!
