Hands down, best thing that’s happened to
Me the last year: losing 64 pounds!! All by healthy eating, counting calories and walking/jogging!

  2. roselyn page

The best thing that has happened to me this year is that I am staying in recovery from an ED. It has given me back my life and my family. Sometimes it is minute by minute, but by keeping strong and keeping my faith I am fighting it.

  3. sarah

I got to compete in all of my college races this year after a year of being injured with a sacral stress fracture!

  4. Kelly

congrats on the anniversary! what were your symptoms to soy that made you think you were allergic? just asking bc i also have celiac (and am vegan). i recently have been eating a good amount of soy yogurt and think i may be allergic to it? i know i should try to eliminate it from my diet and then see if i feel ok, but it’s just so addicting!

    1. peaceloveandoats Post author

Well my soy symptoms were specifically different from any other of my intolerances/IBS issues, but bloating, gas, pain and discomfort in my lower abdomen. It’s worth a shot to just go one or two weeks without it!

Best thing for me was deciding to run the Chicago Marathon! Last October, one of my good friends ran it, and I was inspired…but told myself I couldn’t do it; maybe in a few years. And then February rolled around, and I took the plunge! I’m so excited!

  6. Lacey

LOVED your post on Clean Eating Chelsea, Katie – I’m recovering from a running injury and feeling kind of down about it – your post TOTALLY puts things in perspective! I’m at four weeks of rest as of today, and I know I’ll get back to running when my body is ready.

The best thing that happened to me in the past year is really becoming a runner (prior to the injury, of course!). I never thought I would be able to say that, so it makes me really proud.

    1. peaceloveandoats Post author

I’m glad you liked the post, Lacey! And congrats on being a runner! It can be rough starting out, but a year ago I would have NEVER imagined I’d be training for a marathon!!!

  7. myhealthyohana

Congrats on one year of blogging! I JUST started my blog and it’s definitely somewhat overwhelming! I hope that eventually it’ll grow into something great, like your blog! Baby steps…
Anyway, this year was full of extreme ups and downs for me, but over the past few months I’ve had some realizations/revelations about myself and what’s truly going to make me happy. So I’m going to say that the best thing was finally being able to gain that perspective!

    1. peaceloveandoats Post author

Definitely take it one day at a time – my rule is if I don’t enjoy it anymore then I stop! And I’m glad you’ve learned a lot about yourself, I’ve been doing the same recently!

Congrats on not only making it to one year of blogging but actually commemorating the day haha. I had my one year anniversary back in June, but it completely blew past me, and I thought it would be weird to be all, “Yay one year of blogging!” like five days later soo…yeah. Haha.

I think I’m just going to say senior year of college in general was the best thing that happened to me last year. I couldn’t possibly pick one thing that was better than the rest.
