29 TMI Blog Questions

I saw this questionnaire on Carrots N Cake yesterday and I thought it had some entertaining questions. I’d love for you all to answer some in the comments!

1. What are you wearing?

Black wide legged work pants, a colorful tank top and a champagne colored cardigan. And tan ballet flats.

2. Ever been in love?

Nope. Unless you count my BFF, Molly!

photo 4 (6)

3. Ever had a terrible breakup?

Kinda. I broke up with a guy I dated in college and he reacted like a 14 year old girl. It was not pleasant.

4. How tall are you?

5’6.75″ (those 3/4 are important!)

5. How much do you weigh?

Not a number I care to know!

6. Any tattoos?

Nope. My mother will be happy.

7. Any piercings?

Ears!

8. Favorite song?

I don’t think I have a particular favorite song, it tends to change pretty frequently. Right now it’s “Somebody Loves You” by Betty Who. Although I’ve listened to it about 50 times in the past three days, so we’ll see how long that lasts.

9. Quality you look for in a partner?

Taller than me? Come on, you know it’s true. Someone who doesn’t take themselves too, too seriously and of course he’d have to think I’m funny.

10. Favorite quote?

Oh gosh, I don’t think I have one favorite quote, too many to choose from! I used my Pinterest boards for inspiration and picked on from my faith board and one from my life quotes board:

.

So true....

11. Favorite actor?

Julia Roberts!

12. Loud music or soft?

Well this is a weird question. Loud if I’m dancing, soft if I’m working or talking to people.

13. Where do you go when you’re sad?

Well, I used to hang out in my closet (it was carpeted and comforting). But now that I’ve moved, I guess my bed or my couch?

14. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Including a shower, 20-30 minutes.

photo 2 (25)

15. Ever been in a physical fight?

Uhhh… I don’t think so. I probably fought with my brothers but other than a few whacks here and there I don’t think we really “threw down.”

16. Turn on?

Manners, good grammar, thoughtful, open to new things.

17. Turn off?

Too stubborn, conceited, crude.

18. Fears?

Being in a large body of water. I can manage it, but I get anxious that something is going to come up and grab me. However, if I fell off, for example, a small fishing boat in the middle of the ocean or even Lake Michigan, I would have a panic attack.

19. Last thing that made you cry?

I had a very frustrating morning on Monday and after running back to the yoga studio in the rain before work to get my lunch that I left in the locker room, I found the door was locked to the studio. I ended up sitting on the stairs going up to the studio and having a good cry for a minute. Not so much because of my lunch, but I think that was kind of the last straw. Rough day.

20. Last time you said you loved someone?

Uuuuhhhhh. Probably when my Dad dropped me off at the airport almost two weeks ago.

21. Meaning behind your YouTube Name?

It was my AOL screen name when I first got an account back in the late 90s and I still use it for random things because I know I’ll remember it.

So sophisticated.

22. The relationship between you and the person you last texted?

My friend, Benny.

23. Favorite food?

Frosting. But only the types that taste more like buttercream. There’s some other kind, I have no idea what it’s made from, but it’s on Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cakes and it’s disgusting.

24. Place you want to visit?

Well thanks to Janae, I want to go to Thailand and thanks to Ashley, I want to go to Germany. Specifically this castle:

25. Do you have a crush?

Um hello! RYAN GOSLING.

26. Last time you kissed someone?

Really? I’m not answering that.

27. Last time you were insulted?

Yesterday I noticed in my stats that I had a lot of clicks coming from GOMI so I clicked on the link and apparently someone thinks I am “severely disordered.” That made me laugh.

28. Favorite piece of jewelry?

My Kappa Delta Crest ring.

29. Who should answer these questions next?

YOU!

Pick a few and answer – I want to hear what you have to say!

Happy Wednesday! Today I have another currently post for you all to see what’s going on in my daily life. I have done one since December, so I thought it was about time!

Loving: My overnight oats for breakfast! I mix it up every once in a while (last week for two days I scrambled some eggs with cut up pieces of sweet potato), but I always look forward to eating my oats when I get to work. I love the combo of almond butter and coconut oil on top, and this week I added a tablespoon of Ovaltine (yes, random purchase) that gives it a really good flavor.

Reading: Well you all know I recently read and loved The Night Circus, but now I’m reading Hidden by Catherine McKenzie. I’m about 3/4 through and not sure how I feel about the book so far. It’s an interesting story that’s kept my attention but I definitely cant’ say I love it.

Watching: America’s Next Top Model… I don’t know why I love this show so much but I do. Once I get started binge watching a show I just can’t stop!

Anticipating: The Palmetto 200 relay next weekend!!! WOOOHOOOO!!! I leave on Thursday morning to head to Charleston and I can’t wait for the race and to catch up with some of my Charlestonian friends!

Listening to: I need some new music! I’m still listening to my same Pump It Up Workout Playlist, but I need to mix things up. I also listen to KLove radio (they have an online player) a lot. Oh, and Harry Potter Audiobooks, of course…

Working on: my life? Haha figuring out what I want to do/getting a real job…

Wishing: That this “warm weather” could stay here permanently! Keeping my fingers crossed that our days of freezing cold are behind us! Dreaming big over here…

Sipping on: Post-workout green smoothie! I was inspired by Robyn to add in a smoothie after my workouts, especially strength training days. Great way to tide me over until breakfast too!

Ask Me Anything

Hey everyone!

Chicago is basically a white winterland, a very, very freezing cold white winterland, which has me wanting to nothing but curl up with a good book!

While I’m off reading, I thought today you all might want to participate in my “Ask Me Anything” post.

Ever wondered something about me? About what I’ve done, what I do, what I like, what I don’t like? What products I use, what products I don’t like, what I think about something, what advice I might have on something? Go crazy!

The form is completely anonymous (I don’t see your email address or anything) so you can ask whatever you’d like without me knowing who you are.

Stay warm today!

Hey everyone! Thanks for your sweet comments about my new header – today I’m changing it a bit by adding a holiday theme. I think what I like about this plain white header is that I can add little things to fit the season if I want to!

Today I wanted to do a “Currently” survey. I’ve seen it on a few blogs, but mostly on Nicole’s blog, The Marvelous Misadventures of a Foodie. Since I think she’s super cool, I’m going to copy her and do the survey!

Loving: SNOW! I know it can be a pain, but for someone who doesn’t have to drive anywhere (aka dig out a car or deal with traffic) it’s mostly a blessing. I just love when it’s snowing at night and it feels like you’re in a whole different world.

Reading: I just finished reading The Dinner by Herman Koch.

The Dinner

I saw the book on Peanut Butter Fingers and since I usually like Julie’s recommendations I thought I’d give it a try, especially since I managed to get it free from the library. Well… I didn’t like it at all. I forced myself to finish thinking I’d like the ending, but nope. The book was written in an interesting way, going back and forth between a dinner at a fancy restaurant with two brothers and their wives, to events leading up to that dinner. However, I just didn’t like the characters and for me that’s a big part of the story.

Next up I’m not sure what I’m going to read! Any good recommendations? I have a few books left from when Chelsey and I exchanged books (oh… a year ago). So I might read one of those (haha, again, free!) until Christmas when I think I’ll get a few from Santa.

Watching: Pretty Little Liars. It’s an illness. Seriously. If I have a free evening, come 5pm I am in my apartment binge watching PLL until it’s time to go to bed. I watch it on Netflix on my Kindle so I can just have it near me when I’m making dinner, cleaning up, or working on my computer. I’m already on Season 3…

Besides that, I’m forming a list of Christmas movies that I NEED to watch! How have I not watched any this year? My favorites are Elf, Home Alone, The Santa Clause and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Anticipating: GOING HOME!!! I am so excited to head home for the holidays! Although, I’m not going to lie, I’m a liiiiitle nervous about the road trip home. I am a huge fan of road trips, but I’m used to driving a good bit, or at the very least sitting up front. It will be interesting to see how I handle 8 hours in the back seat with this one sitting on top of me:

Good thing she’s cute.

Listening to: Pandora Glee Holiday Station! Need I say more?

Planning: a few holiday get-togethers! When I’m home in Kansas City I always try to get together with friends and family who live there, but since it’s Christmas there are a LOT of people home! I’m planning a reunion of my best friends from grade school; coffee with my aunt and cousins; a “Girls Night Out” with my mom, her friends and their daughters; and I’m sure plenty more on top of the other holiday parties and Christmas family events I have!

My BFFs from back in the day!

Working on: My job search…

Wishing: That I get a job? Hahahaha that was easy! I actually have one job that I applied to at the end of last week that I’m just DYING to get an interview for. Would it be considered stalking if I just sit outside their building?.. Hmmm.

Sipping on: fancy coffee drinks! I used to only order coffee with a “splash” of milk added, but since doing Jamie’s Intuitive Eating Challenge, I’ve loosed up quite a bit and order more fun coffee drinks when I’m in the mood. Has anyone tried Starbucks’s Gingerbread Latte? Heaven. Seriously.

Your turn! Answer one of the questions above!

What’s your favorite holiday movie? What’s your favorite drink to order when you’re getting coffee?
