Share the Love & Summer Running
8May 17, 2013 by Katie
have a bit of a random post for you all today. I wanted to share a bunch of links but I only accumulated a few and some of them are getting a little “behind the times” so I thought I should get them to you asap! I also made a great running playlist that I wanted to share with you all, perfect for the summer.
First, let’s start with the link up! I read too many blogs, so I think you all should benefit from that in some way. Here are my favorites from the past couple weeks:
Kelsey teaches us all how to take an amazing race photo, even if it involves blocking someone else’s face (*cough* mine *cough*)

May Goals
45May 3, 2013 by Katie
So I’m a couple days behind on this one, but you all can forgive me, right? Since it’s the beginning of a new month it’s time to take a look at how I did on my goals for last month and then make some new ones for May! Warning: May goals aren’t too thrilling… I’ve got a crazy busy month coming up so I’m trying to keep it simple!
Here’s a recap of my goals from April:
1. Run outside at least once a week. Hmmm. Didn’t do awesome at this since I’ve been injured, but I actually think I ran outside almost every week, especially since I had the 5K on Sunday, my run with Emily and Kelsey, and I ran 1.5 miles outside the day after Boston. So like 3 out of 4? Sounds good to me.
2. Follow Jamie’s Intuitive Eating Challenge EVERY DAY…

To Boston:
11April 16, 2013 by Katie
Marathon runners are a little crazy, yes, but we all share a love for running and for being a part of something bigger than ourselves. Boston isn’t just a marathon, it’s a symbol of the hard work and dedication of so many runners who’ve qualified, and the hopes and dreams of those of us who haven’t. The attack on Boston was felt by so many because we, as runners, are a family.
The joy I felt when I ran Chicago was more than I can express. It was overwhelming to be part of such a large race, with the runners, volunteers, spectators and families all there to cheer for and support one another. Knowing that this same spirit at Boston was attacked yesterday, and knowing that those most …

Running Survey
16January 27, 2013 by Katie
Happy Sunday! Geez the weekend is flying by much too quickly for my liking! It’s been a while since I’ve done a survey, and I saw this one one Lindsay’s blog yesterday, so clearly I had to steal it from her! Thanks Linds!
Age: 25
Country/State/General Vicinity: Chicago, ILYear you ran your first mile without walking: Hmm. Well, I don’t think I managed to run without walking when we had to run the mile in middle school for gym, so probably in High School when I had to run for field hockey.
Year you became a “runner”?: Oh gosh… I ran a little bit during college to help get in shape (aka try to counteract my horrible eating/drinking habits), but I never started running with a purpose until I moved to Chicago in 2010 and decided to..

My Christmas List
45November 30, 2012 by Katie
Happy Friday! I hope you all had a good week back after the Thanksgiving break! My week has been a bit off, I think I’m just homesick and so ready to get back for Christmas. If we could just fast forward to December 22nd I would be appreciate it, okay? Good.
So every year my mom asks all of us for a Christmas List. She worries about just buying us things that we didn’t ask for, and then having us not like them, so she asks for a very specific list. I finally managed to get mine out to her on Wednesday (it took a lot of research and soul-searching! ha), so I thought I’d share it with all of you so you could get some ideas. (And no, my mom will not be getting me everythign on the list… haha that would be a bit much).
